Film Internship for 2019-20 School Year

Film/Media Studies is now accepting applications for the very unique Bucknell-Campus Theatre projection/exhibition internship. This experience is one that will stand out as you pursue internships and jobs in the media field, and it is one of the only on-campus internships approved for the Arts Entrepreneurship minor. See this recent New YorkTimes article to get a sense of not only the craft, nor the speciality status of those who learn it, but see how it is a field that appeals and is available increasingly to young professionals (especially in urban areas). Whether or not you ever wind up working as a projectionist, you will understand and appreciate a lot more about film viewing, and myriad aspects of cinema, once you complete this internship.

If you’d like to speak with students who have had this experience, Alex Gao (’19) and Meredith Langs (’19) just completed the second phase of the internship, which they have been involved with all year. And Jessica Henson (’20) did the internship last year.

The application deadline is June 1st. If you are interested and thinking of applying, please contact Rebecca Meyers at rm052@bucknell.edu ASAP.  The Position is competitive and only two new interns will be accepted.  A contiguous two semester commitment is preferred but not required.

Please see the application instructions and cover sheet at this link. Note that the application requests references, but not letters of recommendation.
